R.I.P. to Actor Conrad Bain. Bain, 89, was best known for his work on the 80’s TV classic Diff'rent Strokes. He played the character “Philip Drummond,” who was the TV dad to Dana Plato (“Kimberly”) and the adoptive TV dad of Gary Coleman (“Arnold”) and Todd Bridges (“Willis”). The child cast was plagued with personal, financial and legal problems during and after the show. Plato died in 1999 of a drug overdose, and Coleman died in 2010 after a fall and head injury at his home. When asked about Bain's death, Bridges, the last surviving member of the original child cast, said Bain was the glue
of the show and a supportive father figure both on and off the set. Before Diff'rent Strokes, Bain played “Dr. Arthur Harmon” on the 70's TV hit Maude with Golden Girls Bea Arthur (“Maude”) and Rue
McClanahan (“Vivian”) and Good Times' Esther Rolle (“Florida”). Bain would have turned 90 on February 4th , and he leaves behind three sons, one daughter and his twin brother, who once appeared on Maude with him.
Guess who's back together and who wants to get back together? Let's start at the top: Shaquille O'Neal and Reality Star Hoopz. Last year, they had a major fight, and she insulted his manhood. It looked like they were done, but the two were recently spotted vacationing together. I guess love prevails.
Next, like Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway sang, It’s Back Together Again, this time for Kobe and Vanessa Bryant. The Bryants have called off their divorce. Kobe must be breathing a sigh of relief since he didn’t make Vanessa sign a pre-nup. The Bryants have been married since 2001. They have survived a lot, including Kobe getting arrested for rape in 2003 and rumors of his constant cheating. The couple filed for divorce in December 2011, but the couple have decided to work out their problems for the sake of their two daughters. Will the Bryant brood be expanding now that they have reconciled?
Which brings us to who is trying to get back. It's Tiger Woods! Published reports say he wants his ex Elin back as his wife. Tiger and Elin have a son and daughter. They divorced in 2010 after an embarrassing cheating scandal that almost cost Tiger his career and included allegations of Elin attacking him with a golf club and Tiger crashing his car to escape. This was followed by press conference after press conference with woman after woman claiming to have had affairs with Tiger. Elin got a hefty divorce settlement and has done her share of dating. Reports say Tiger is banking on her accepting a new pre-nup offer of between $200-$250 million if they remarry and he cheats again. Will Tiger get his Mrs. back?
