Bishop Eddie Long is under fire again. He’s been named in a lawsuit that alleges he encouraged his parishioners to take part in a ponzi scheme. Twelve former members of Long’s New Birth congregation say
they never would have invested with Ephren Taylor, who’s also named in the suit, if Long hadn’t encouraged them. The suit also claims Long was warned about steering clear of Taylor, but still endorsed him to the New Birth congregation. In 2011, Long paid out a multimillion dollar settlement to four young men who accused him of inappropriate behavior toward them when they were teens in Long's church.

featured in this week's Jet. The former GAP Band singer turned solo superstar is talking about his battles against drug addiction and cancer.
Robin Roberts has returned to Good Morning America. Roberts underwent a successful bone marrow
transplant a few months ago, and she got cleared by her doctors to return to work. Besides getting a warm welcome back from her GMA colleagues, she received celebrity welcome back messages as well. President Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and even rival morning newscast The Today Show sent Roberts their best wishes on her return to morning television. Roberts recently covered People magazine and opened up about how scary the setbacks she experienced were particularly with the loss of her mother still weighing on her. In a 20/20 news special, Roberts will share more of her personal journey. 20/20 airs this Friday at 10pm on ABC.
Coming to theaters May 10th, Tyler Perry Presents Peeples. The film stars Kerry Washington, Diahann Carroll, David Alan Grier (In Living Color), Craig Robinson (The Office), S. Epatha Merkerson (Law & Order), Melvin Van Peebles and Tyler James Williams (Everybody Hates Chris, Go On). Tina Gordon Chism wrote and directed while Perry is producer. Kerry Washington is also the cover girl for the latest edition of Ebony magazine.
Before Peeples hits the big screen, Tyler Perry will be back in the director's chair just in time for the Easter holiday 2013. His latest big screen project, Temptation: Confessions Of A Marriage Counselor,
stars Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Lance Gross, Vanessa Williams, Brandy and Kim Kardashian. The movie opens March 29th. Perry also has two new shows debuting on OWN. It's part of his exclusive deal with Oprah Winfrey's cable network. The Haves And Have Nots is a drama about a family and their housekeeper, and Love Thy Neighbor is a sitcom set in a diner. Now speaking of Jurnee Smollett-Bell, in addition to starring in Perry's movie Temptation, she has signed on to join the cast of HBO’s True Blood, which returns in June.
In his new autobiography, The Soundtrack Of My Life, Music Executive Clive Davis looks back on his career. He talks about the many artists he's worked with including Aretha Franklin, Bob Dylan, Alicia Keys, Carlos Santana, Barry Manilow, Janis Joplin and the late-great Whitney Houston. Davis even opens about his bi-sexuality. The 80-year old, twice-divorced grandfather is currently in a long-term relationship with a man. Davis' legendary music career also includes stints at Arista and Sony and helping launch record labels including
Bad Boy, LaFace, J Records and Philadelphia International. The Soundtrack Of My Life is available in stores now.
Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child has a new reality show called My Sister’s Keeper. The show will follow Williams and her sisters and give a behind the scenes look at Williams' career as a gospel solo artist.
Speaking of former Destiny's Child members, Kelly Rowland will be co-hosting this Sunday's Oscar pre-show, The Oscars Red Carpet Live, beginning at 4pm. Followed by The 85th Annual Academy Awards at 7pm on ABC.
In more Kelly Rowland news, she's also teaming up with Actor Boris Kodjoe for a new edition of BET’s Rip The Runway premiering March 20th.
Prince Michael Jackson, son of The King Of Pop Michael Jackson, has been named a special correspondent for Entertainment Tonight. His first interview assignment was for the Disney film Oz, The Great And Powerful. Jackson spoke with Co-stars James Franco & Zach Braff and Director Sam Raimi (Spiderman). Mariah Carey's latest single, Almost Home, is on the movie's soundtrack. Carey is set to release
her new album later this year. Meanwhile, Oz hits theaters on March 8th.
The money woes continue to follow Mary J. Blige. Blige has been hit with a $900,000 tax lien by the State Of New Jersey. Last week, she was hit by lawsuits from two banks for failing to pay back loans. What is
going on with The Queen Of Hip Hop Soul and her finances? She tours and works all the time. This is embarrassing. What's her husband Kendu Isaacs doing about all this? Is he her manager? Someone needs
to step in and help Blige get her financial house in order.
Speaking of finances, they're at the root of the fall from grace of former U.S. Congressman Jesse Jackson, Jr. and his wife Chicago Alderman Sandi Jackson. The Jacksons' political careers are in ruins following their admission of stealing $750,000 in campaign funds. The Feds say Jr. used those funds in more than 3,000 transactions to buy a Rolex watch, appliances, fur coats and Michael Jackson memorabilia amongst
other things. The Jacksons both plead guilty in court this week to charges related to misuse of campaign funds. Jr. faces up to five years in prison and Sandi faces 3 years after she admitted filing a false tax return to cover up those illegal purchases. Jesse Jackson, Sr. left his son's court appearance without comment. Jr. will face sentencing on June 28th,and Sandi faces sentencing July 1st.
Our condolences go out to the family of former Temptations Singer Damon Harris, who died of cancer this week. Harris replaced Eddie Kendricks as tenor in the legendary Motown group in late 1971. He voice can be heard on the Temps hits Hey Girl I Like Your Style, Firefly, Heavenly and Papa Was A Rollin' Stone. Harris was 62.
We also remember Actor Lou Myers. He was best known as “Mr. Gaines” on A Different World. Bill Cosby cast him in that show after Myers made two memorable appearances on The Cosby Show. I had the pleasure of meeting him on Broadway when he was appearing in Debbie Allen's production of Cat On A Hot Tin Roof. The actor had recent heart surgery and was hospitalized after collapsing in his home in January. Myers was
L.A. Lakers Owner Dr. Jerry Buss has also died. Buss has owned the legendary NBA team since 1979.
His rooster has included Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, James Worthy, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal and Dwight Howard. He rode waves including the 1980's Showtime championships and the O'Neal-Bryant years. Buss dies of cancer at the age of 80.
Striking while the iron is hot, Tamar Braxton and her husband Vince Herbert have added another project to their schedule. The supercouple are working on a relationship book.
The Houston family feud continues, and many wonder if Bobbi Kris will cut off her grandmother Cissy Houston from her $20 million fortune. Bobbi Kris is not happy that her late mother Whitney Houston was written about in Cissy's new book Remembering Whitney: My Story Of Love, Loss And The Night The Music Stopped. Bobbi Kris feels Cissy did it for money. Now Bobbi Kris has vowed to not give her grandmother any money because she is tired of people wanting to control her life and fortune.
Former Football/Reality Star Terrell Owens was recently questioned by the L.A.P.D. Apparently, Owens was accused of stalking a woman. The woman claimed she never felt like she was in harm's way, but she accuses Owens of banging on her door for three straight hours refusing to leave.
Another Football/Reality Star Chad Ochocinco Johnson appears to have given up on winning back ex-wife Evelyn Lozada. After their nasty breakup and his arrest for battery, it appeared the two were trying to work it out and reconcile. They had a deal for a new VH1 reality show, but that deal was pulled from the table after Johnson's arrest. Did the two decide to part because they couldn’t make any money off each
other? Johnson is now dating Socialite Lauren Popeil, and she just so happens to have the money which he so desperately needs. As for Lozada, she is back filming new episodes of VH1's Basketball Wives Miami.
When will Singer John Legend marry his girlfriend Model Chrissy Teigen? Teigen, a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, wants marriage. She's giving it until the end of the year, or she will end it with Legend. Will the Ordinary People singer put a ring on it?

Was Oscar Winner Forest Whitaker the victim of racial profiling? Recently in a New York deli, an employee suspected Whitaker was a shoplifter and frisked him outside of the deli. After word got out of the
incident, the deli owner issued a public apology to Whitaker and says the employee who accused and frisked Whitaker hasn't returned to work on his own because of how badly he feels for his mistake. Whitaker's spokespeople called the incident upsetting considering the acclaimed actor did nothing more than walk into the deli. Meanwhile, the Oscar winner is currently filming Langston Hughes' Black Nativity. Whitaker is joining a cast that includes Angela Bassett and Tyrese.
Speaking of Tyrese, he and Reverend Run of Run DMC and MTV's Run's House have teamed up to write a book called Manology. The book is about relationships what makes them work and what makes them fail. The book is geared towards women. The book Manology is a guide to regaining relationship confidence and weeding out cheaters.
The VH1 network is doing a movie based on the popular girl group TLC. TLC topped the charts in the 90’s with the hits Waterfalls, No Scrubs, and Baby, Baby, Baby, but at the same time, they hit the bottom of
showbiz declaring bankruptcy despite record-breaking sales. Drew Sidora (The Game) will play Tionne T-Boz Watkins. Rapper Lil' Mama has been cast as Lisa Left Eye Lopes, and Keke Palmer will be play Rozonda Chilli Thomas. T-Boz and Chilli are among the executive producers and are also planning a tour and remix album. Left Eye died in 2002 in a Honduras car accident. Khloe Kardashian has been dropped as a host of the FOX's X-Factor. Producers found her boring and unprepared. X-Factor, Simon Cowell's singing reality show, has never taken off in ratings. This is just the latest in a series of shakeups including Judges Britney Spears and L.A. Reid leaving the show.

Actor Blair Underwood is coming back to TV. Underwood is filming a pilot based on the old school, TV classic Ironside. After he wrapped his 50's classic Perry Mason, Actor Raymond Burr made a comeback with the popular police drama as “Chief Robert Ironside.” from 1967-1975. Quincy Jones did the theme song for the original show. Burr played a veteran detective confined to a wheelchair after being shot by a sniper. Underwood will recreate that role.
The BET Awards has now turned into the BET Experience. The show airs June 30th on BET with special guests Beyonce, New Edition, R Kelly, Miguel, The Jacksons, Snoop Dog and many more.
The 85th Annual Academy Awards take place this Sunday, and the talent is going to be amazing that night. For the first time in 36 years, Barbara Streisand will be performing. She last performed her hit Evergreen on the show in 1977 and won the Oscar for the song that night. Another Diva will be there to match Streisand that night. Dame Shirley Bassey will also be be performing at this year's Oscars. The 76-year old
British singer sang the themes for the James Bond movies Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever and Moonraker. Other Oscar performers include Singers Adele and Norah Jones. The Steven Spielberg movie Lincoln is
leading the nominations with Best Director Spielberg, Best Actor Daniel Day Lewis and Best Picture. The 2013 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony will air on HBO May 18th. This year's inductees include Donna Summer, Public Enemy, Heart, Rush, and special honors going to Quincy Jones and Producer Lou Adler. Summer, whose induction her fans had long called for, died in May from lung cancer. Jennifer Hudson and Christina Aguilera will be performing in the Donna Summer tribute.
Prince is going to be the big honoree at this year's 2013 Billboard Music Awards. The show airs May 19th on ABC.
