Jackson is now a married lady....”Mrs. Wissam Al Mana.” The third time may be the charm for Jackson as she revealed she secretly married her Qatari Billionaire Wissam Al Mana last year. Jackson has also converted to Islam. In other Jackson news, friends are worried about Jermaine Jackson. Jermaine has changed the spelling of his last name to Jacksun. He says he did it for artistic purposes. At 58, friends say Jermaine wants to become his late brother Michael Jackson. He has started dressing like The King Of Pop with tight jeans and sequined military-style jackets. Jermaine is dependent on his rich, Afghan wife Halima Rashid. Sources say he is running through her money and is urging her to let him take another wife. Jermaine converted to Islam in the 80’s. He has numerous children including kids with his
brother Randy's babymomma Alejandra. Jermaine feels guilty over Michael's death because various interventions failed. Jermaine has always felt he should have been the family's biggest star.
Soledad O‘Brien is off the dawn patrol at CNN. The new head of the cable news network, Jeff Zucker, is removing her from the morning show Starting Point. Published reports say Chris Cuomo and Erin Burnett will both replace her. O'Brien says it's not such a bad thing. She's established a production company and for the time being will produce documentaries as an independent supplier for CNN and others. In more CNN news, word is Commentators Roland Martin and Donna Brazile may not get their contracts renewed by the network, and that's bringing up CNN's usual problem of the lack of diversity in their newsroom.
There is a lot of infighting going on with the Sledge family. The famous siblings known as Sister Sledge had the hits We Are Family, My Guy, Got To Love Somebody and He's The Greatest Dancer. They are at odds over the using of the group's name. Lead Singer Kathy Sledge cannot
use the name Sister Sledge in any form when promoting her shows. Debbie, Joni and Kim Sledge have gotten a court order prohibiting Kathy from using the Sister Sledge name. Why would they do this to Kathy? She is the only member that anybody knows because she sang lead on most of the songs. Are the sisters trying to keep Kathy from making money and working?
A member of the Winans family is going to jail! Michael Winans, Jr. not only is the son of Michael, Sr. of the group The Winans, but he also sang with The Winans: Phase II. Well, he's caught up in a ponzi scheme and a judge just threw the book at him. The judge said Jr. robbed people of their lives, caused divorces and fractured families. This $8 million money scheme has left Winans owing at least 600 people over $4 million. The judge slapped Winans, Jr. with a 14-year sentence. He's 30-years old and his legendary gospel family is devastated.
Bobby Brown is headed to jail. Brown must serve 55 days in jail after his third D.U.I. conviction. Brown, 44, was arrested last October after being stopped by police in California. Brown was also hit with four years probation. He will have to attend an 18-month alcohol program and attend AA meetings three times a week. Brown has to turn himself in March 20th.
Tyler Perry's TBS sitcom For Better Or Worse is moving to Oprah Winfrey's OWN cable network. The show, which stars Tasha Smith and Michael Jai White reprising their roles from the Why Did I Get Married movie franchise will debut its third season on OWN this fall. This is a new
addition to the deal Tyler Perry already has with The Mighty O to produce original programming for OWN. There were already two other series, The Haves And The Have Nots and Love Thy Neighbor, Perry will debut on OWN later this year. Actress Tika Sumpter (Sparkle; The Game) is set to co-star in one of the series, and tweeted out pictures on the set with Oprah.
How hot is Actor Craig Robinson? Well, there is life after the sitcom The Office. The show ends this year, but Robinson is filming a pilot for a new NBC show where he will play a musician who takes a job as a middle school teacher. Actor Larenz Tate( Why Do Fools Fall In Love; Love Jones) will co-star. Robinson also has a new Tyler Perry produced-movie coming out May called Peeples. It hits theaters May 10th, and also stars Kerry Washington, Diahann Carroll, David Alan Grier (In Living Color), Craig Robinson (The Office), S. Epatha Merkerson (Law & Order), Melvin Van Peebles and Tyler James Williams (Everybody Hates Chris, Go On). Tina Gordon Chism wrote and directed
while Perry is producer. Kerry Washington is also the cover girl for the latest edition of Ebony
magazine.
Before Peeples hits the big screen, Tyler Perry will be back in the director's chair just in time for the Easter holiday 2013. His latest big screen project, Temptation: Confessions Of A Marriage Counselor, stars Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Lance Gross, Vanessa Williams, Brandy and
Kim Kardashian. The movie opens March 29th. Now speaking of Jurnee Smollett-Bell, in addition to starring in Perry's movie Temptation, she has signed on to join the cast of HBO’s True Blood, which returns in June.

Former Congressman Jesse Jackson, Jr. is writing a book to clear up his legacy. Last week, Jr. pleaded guilty to misusing $750,000 in campaign funds. Jr., 47, will be sentenced June 28th
and is facing up to five years in prison. His wife Sandi is also in trouble. She faces 3 years after admitting to filing a false tax return to cover up those illegal purchases. Jackson, Jr. suffers from
bipolar disorder. Last year, he took a medical leave from Congress and later in November resigned. Jackson, Jr. has been heavily criticized for the many items he purchased included a Rolex watch for
a mistress, celebrity memorabilia, furs, a cruise and stuffed elk heads.
Mary Mary’s self-titled reality show has been renewed for a third season on the WE network, and get ready for the return of the Braxton Family Values show. Season three kicks off March 14th also on WE.
The VH1 network has renewed T.I. and Tiny's reality show The Family Hustle. VH1 is also doing a movie based on the popular girl group TLC. TLC topped the charts in the 90’s with the hits Waterfalls, No Scrubs, and Baby, Baby, Baby, but at the same time, they hit the bottom of showbiz declaring bankruptcy despite record-breaking sales. Drew Sidora (The Game) will play Tionne T-Boz Watkins. Rapper Lil' Mama has been cast as Lisa Left Eye Lopes, and Keke Palmer will be play Rozonda Chilli Thomas. T-Boz and Chilli are among the executive producers and are also planning a tour and remix album. Left Eye died in 2002 in a Honduras car accident. These projects are all set for January 2014 for TLC's 20th anniversary.
Prince will be performing on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon this Friday night on NBC. Prince is also going to be the big honoree at this year's 2013 Billboard Music Awards airing May 19th on ABC. Now speaking of Jimmy Fallon, a member of his famous houseband for Late Night is coming out with a book. Ahmir Questlove Thompson, the drummer for The Roots, has a memoir coming out June 18th called Mo' Meta Blues: The World According To Questlove.
Comedian/Actor Kevin Hart is hosting Saturday Night Live this week. And speaking of my “nephew,” he's co-starring in a remake of the Hollywood Brat Pack classic About Last Night. It originally starred Rob Lowe, Demi Moore, Elizabeth Perkins and James Belushi. About Last Night is
getting a make over and will hit theaters next Valentine's Day 2014. Along with Kevin, there's Michael Ealy, Regina Hall and Joy Bryant.
Fantasia is on the cover of this week’s Jet magazine, but she is not happy with the cover photo.Fantasia is upset that the magazine is using a photo of her from ten years ago. Her team submitted new photos of her, but they were not suitable for a magazine cover. To make matters worse, a Jet editor took to facebook to express her displeasure over this situation. The facebook post leaked out and it took a shot at Fantasia's not being able to read. The editor later apologized. Meanwhile, in the Jet article, Fantasia opens up about her life, including her new found single status and how she is concentrating on her career and raising her children.
Former Spice Girl Mel B has a new gig as a judge on America's Got Talent. Season number 8 kicks off May 28th. Mel B is replacing Sharon Osborne. Mel now joins fellow Judges Howard

The 26-year old son of the late Musician Roger Troutman is in jail on a murder charge. Brent Lanier Lynch is being held on murder charges in the death of his girlfriend. Troutman was the founder of the group Zapp, and years ago he was murdered by his brother Larry, who also
killed himself.
We say goodbye to another former Temptation. Richard Street, who enjoyed a 25-year run in the legendary Motown group, died after being hospitalized last week for breathing difficulties and the discovery of a blood clot in his lung. Street's death comes just a week after his former bandmate Otis “Damon” Harris. In the 70's, Street and Harris shared leads on
The Temptations' classics Hey Girl (I Like Your Style), Firefly, Heavenly, Superstar, Masterpiece and Papa Was A Rollin' Stone. Street sang with original Temps Otis Williams and the late Melvin “Blue”
Franklin, but didn't join the group until the 70's when he replaced original Temp the late Paul Williams. Richard Street was 70-years old.
We remember Cleotha Staples. The eldest child of the late Pops Staples, Cleotha was known as the backbone of the legendary Staple Singers. She, her three sisters (Yvonne, Cynthia and Mavis), her brother Pervis (until 1968) and her father eventually became known as “God's Greatest Hitmakers” for their crossover success singing gospel (Hard Rain, Swing Low Sweet Chariot). After more than 20 years in gospel music, The Staples signed to Stax Records and enjoyed the hits
Respect Yourself, If You're Ready (Come Go With Me) and I'll Take You There. They later signed with Warner Brothers and through Curtis Mayfield's Curtom Records enjoyed more success with New Orleans and Let's Do It Again. Her siblings say it was Cleotha's voice that not only guided the group's distinctive sound, but also heavily influenced their father's famous guitar playing. She was also the defacto leader amongst her siblings and took her role model position very seriously. Cleotha Staples died last week at the age of 78 after a ten-year battle with Alzheimer's disease.
She didn’t win an Oscar, but she did win a role in the movie musical Annie. Nine-year old Quvenzhane Wallis, the star of the movie Beasts Of The Southern Wild, is set to star in the big screen remake of the Broadway. She replaces Willow Smith, who dropped out of the project. Willow's dad, Will Smith, is producing.
Famed Rapper MC Hammer says he was racially profiled in California. Hammer was driving by a mall where he says a police officer stopped him and asked if he was on parole. Hammer said the officer then proceeded to pull him out of his vehicle. Hammer was driving with an expired registration, and he was not the owner of the car. Hammer, 50, is due in court next month.
After 22 years, George Clinton is splitting from his wife. The P-Funk maestro and Stephanie Lynn Clinton, his personal assistant and manager, are citing irreconcilable differences. They have no
children, no shared bank accounts and no shared property.

Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child has a new reality show called My Sister’s Keeper. The show will follow Williams and her sisters and gives a behind the scenes look at her solo gospel career. Williams will also be starring in the Broadway hit Fela which will be in town at the Merriam Theater from March 12th through the 17th.

Prince Michael Jackson, son of The King Of Pop Michael Jackson, has been named a special correspondent for Entertainment Tonight. His first interview assignment was for the Disney film Oz, The Great And Powerful. Jackson spoke with Co-stars James Franco & Zach Braff
and Director Sam Raimi (Spiderman). Mariah Carey's latest single, Almost Home, is on the movie's soundtrack. Carey is set to release her new album later this year. Meanwhile, Oz hits theaters on March 8th.

Beyonce is launching The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour. She'll be in Philly July 25th at the Wells Fargo Center and at The Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on July 26th.
In more Beyonce news, she has just confirmed her return to 2013 Essence Festival July 4th-7th. She'll take her Mrs. Carter show to New Orleans and the Essence main stage. Moore and Price are also appearing as part of the Soulful Sista's Tour. Singers Angie Stone and La Tocha Scott (Xscape) are joining the Atlanta version of R&B Divas. The new season starts in April.
The 2013 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony will air on HBO May 18th. This year's inductees include Donna Summer, Public Enemy, Heart, Rush, and special honors going to Quincy Jones and Producer Lou Adler. Summer, whose induction her fans had long called for, died in May from lung cancer. Jennifer Hudson and Christina Aguilera will be performing in the Donna Summer tribute.
Wendy Williams is releasing a new book of advice called Ask Wendy. The book comes out May 7th.
On Monday, March 25th, Latin Singing Sensation Shakira will join the lineup of NBC's singing reality show The Voice along with Usher. They'll join Judges Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. Usher will also be starring in the movie Hands Of Stone, about the life of Boxing Great Sugar Ray Leonard.
