Two weeks ago, Janet Bean of Pooler was hit and killed by a drunk driver on Interstate 95. Now her daughter Kandy Logue is left to cope with the loss of her mother and find loving homes for the animals she left behind.
Peanut, the boxer, and Dixie Rose, the dachsund, are lifelong friends and are grieving the loss of their mother and are stressed. The best thing Kandy can do is find a loving home where the two can be together during a difficult time. Logue says her mother called these dogs "her babies."
She's hoping someone in the community will step forward, taking both dogs, honoring her mother in return.
